Christmas Miracles Do Come True

Colleen's friend Kala came over this week. We decided to go see the Amazing Beijing Acrobats! After shopping of course. So surprise, surprise, we took a little bit longer than we expected, lost the address to the theatre, and couldn't flag down a taxi for 15 minutes.

The show started at 7:00 and it was 6:50 when we finally got into the taxi with an estmated 40 minute driving time.

"Only a Christmas miracle will save us," Kala said.

Well, not only did the taxi ride only take 15 minutes, by the time we ran into the theatre, the show hadn't even started yet! Actually, there was no one in the theatre! STrangly, nobody had showed up for the show that night, and the manager was juust about the cancel the show! Nononono we are here now! WE are the audience!

So there we sat in the big auditorium, only 3 of us, front row seats, getting a special viewing of the most amazing acrobats I have ever seen in my life! Plate balancing, pole walking, everything! the works! I couldn't believe it. There are grown men who cannot even do 2 pushups, and here are 1o year old children, balancing on their arms for 20 minutes!
