"Oh Canada"
The Canadian Flag! Gosh, we are so patriotic aren't we?
My last project for my Chinese Language class was to pick a Canadian song and introduce it to the class.
Which song did I feel was truly Canadian?
Well of course, "If I had a million dollars" by the Barenaked Ladies.
However, after translating it into Chinese, my classmates still didn't get it the jokes, not even the
".. but not a real green dress that's cruel"
or "We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner."
Sigh. That's ok, because I did a very good job of convincing everybody Canada is the best place to live in the world. Please expect an increase in the number of tourists from now on.
